Deye SUN-BK: compact 2.56 and 5.12 kWh storage systems

Deye SUN-BK80-5.12KWH-EU-AM4-18L – gamintojo serijos iliustracija

Compact storage can suit a small solar PV system or a project with limited space for a separate inverter and battery. The Deye SUN-BK family combines a micro-hybrid inverter and LiFePO4 battery in one unit. We have added 2.56 and 5.12 kWh versions to the SGENERGY catalogue based on the manufacturer’s documentation for European models.

Capacity and power: two separate choices

2.56 or 5.12 kWh describes the nominal battery energy. In the model designation, 80, 160, 200 and 250 correspond to rated AC outputs of 0.8, 1.6, 2 and 2.5 kW. Higher capacity does not automatically mean higher instantaneous power; actual runtime depends on consumption and system losses.

AM2, AM4, 18L and 32L: why do the suffixes matter?

AM2 versions have two MPPT channels, while AM4 versions have four. This allows different PV array configurations. The 18L and 32L variants have different PV input current specifications, so solar panels cannot be selected solely by their combined power rating.

Check the relevant technical document for each MPPT current limit, permitted voltage and panel connection arrangement. Each SGENERGY product page includes the datasheet for the corresponding model family.

Which projects are SUN-BK systems intended for?

The manufacturer describes grid-connected operation, off-grid operation and AC coupling with an existing solar system. Availability of a particular mode depends on the connection arrangement and additional equipment. Energy metering and export limitation components are selected for the specific site.

Connection requirements must be checked separately

The description “plug and play” does not mean that every power version may be connected to a household socket. Before installation, check local grid requirements, protection devices, permitted export capacity and the manufacturer’s instructions. Equipment must be selected for the actual system, not simply by its marketing description.

What should you send for a consultation?

Provide the model and number of your solar panels, details of the existing microinverter or inverter, expected loads and installation location. This helps determine whether you need a battery for an existing system or a complete new micro-hybrid solution.

Prices are not yet published and stock is set to zero. A catalogue listing does not confirm stock availability or a specific delivery date.
